BISP 8171 New Update
Today, we gather here at the 8171 portal to share a delightful update about the families benefiting from the Benazir Kafalat and Ehsaas Kafalat program, which stands as the largest government initiative in Pakistan.
Recently, the government made an important decision to disqualify individuals who had traveled abroad and had one or more passports registered under their names from the program. This step was taken to ensure that the assistance reaches those who truly deserve and require it.
One of the main factors leading to disqualification was the discovery that some beneficiaries had undertaken Umrah and even Hajj. While it is indeed possible for individuals to finance their pilgrimage to Hajj through borrowing, the government decided that those who had such opportunities and resources should not be part of the Kafalat program. This move is aimed at better targeting and supporting those in genuine need of financial aid and assistance.
By making these changes, the government seeks to enhance the effectiveness of the Kafalat program, providing more meaningful support to the most vulnerable families across the nation.

I have some great news to share with you regarding the government of Pakistan’s initiatives. They have taken a significant step by expanding the inclusion of families in various programs, including the Benazir Income Support Program and Ehsaas Kafalat Program. The government has increased the budget for these programs, allowing more families to be a part of them.
Furthermore, they have also decided to include previously ineligible individuals in the Block Account and Checking, ensuring a broader reach of benefits. To avail of these opportunities, you can visit the nearest tehsil center of the Benazir Income Support Program and Ehsaas Kafalat Program to participate in the survey for all those who haven’t been included in these programs before or were not on the list.
This expansion is a positive step towards uplifting more people in need, and it shows the government’s commitment to support its citizens through various welfare programs.
